For this dish, stock up on:
- 0.5 kilos of cod;
- ¼ cup wheat flour;
- larger onion;
- 2-3 cloves of garlic;
- carrot;
- salt + ground black pepper;

If you are one of those people who don't like pronounced fishy aroma- and cod just has it, then before marinating it will need to be soaked in a weak vinegar solution, kefir or cucumber brine.
When cooking cod in a frying pan, you need to talk not just about frying - the fish turns out more like fried-stewed, because... first fried quickly and then cooked over low heat, usually after adding any vegetables. But if it is fried in batter, then to preserve its crispy state, the fish is not stewed over low heat, but only fried.
To marinate cod, you can use the products specified in the recipes or take products to your taste - this can be sour cream, mayonnaise, cream, to which you can add spices, mustard, onions, etc.
Cod with champignons
Ingredients:
- Champignons – 50 g.
- Cod fillet – 600 g.
- Low fat milk – 400 ml
- Parsley, fresh onions– 1 bunch each.
- Starch - 2 tbsp. l.
Preparation:
- Finely chop the onion and parsley, wash the mushrooms and cut into small slices.
- Fry the greens with mushrooms in a dry frying pan or in a slow cooker for five minutes.
- Place mushrooms in a baking dish, place cod fillet pieces on top, sprinkle with parsley and season with spices.
- Keep in the oven at 180C for about thirty minutes.
- To prepare the sauce, bring the milk to a boil and dilute the starch in it to make the marinade thick.
- Keep the sauce on low heat for another ten minutes.
- Pour the cooled marinade over the fish.
Baked cod with tomatoes
Ingredients:
- Tomatoes – 2-3 pcs.
- Cod (loin) – 2 pieces
- Bell pepper – 1 pc.
- Fresh dill – 1 bunch
- Onion (small) – 1 pc.
- Salt – a pinch.
Preparation:
- Wash the cod fillet with cold water, dry it and cut into small cubes. Finely chop the greens, onions and bell pepper, place the ingredients on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Arrange the fish pieces evenly on top and sprinkle the fillets with lemon juice, and then cover the fish with small cubes of tomatoes.
- Cover the dish with thick paper and bake in the oven for fifteen minutes at 180 C.

Ingredients:
- Cod fillet – 800 g (4 pieces)
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp. l.

- Broth (vegetable or fish) – 150 ml
- Herbs and spices to taste.
Preparation:
- Grate the garlic, mix with freshly squeezed lemon juice and onion, and add all the ingredients to the broth.
- Pour the prepared marinade over the fish so that the fillet pieces are completely covered with liquid.
- Add spices as desired, leave for fifteen minutes, and then place the bowl in a double boiler.
- Cook the fish for fifteen minutes, serve the cod with lemon wedges.
Fried teska recipe. Steaks with white wine sauce
Ingredients for cod fried in steaks:
- steaks – 4 pcs.,
- flour – 40 gr.,
- butter – 80 gr.,
- green onion – 1 bunch,
- spices.
For the sauce:
- flour – 1 tbsp,
- butter – 25 gr.,
- sour cream – 50 gr.,
- white table wine – 60 ml,
- salt.
Preparation of fried cod steaks:
- Process the fish, remove any remaining entrails, rinse and wipe with a napkin.
- Salt and pepper the steaks, roll in flour and fry on vegetable oil before golden brown crust. Then put the pan with the fish in the oven and cook until fully cooked.
- Wash the green onions and chop finely.
- Sauces are an integral part of fish dishes. When choosing a sauce, you should consider the type of fish. Cod is a diet fish, skinny. Sauces containing cream, sour cream and butter are suitable for it.
