- Melt 50-60 g of butter on the stove or in the microwave. Pour into the dough and mix until smooth. Instead of butter, you can add odorless vegetable oil.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan.
If you have an ordinary frying pan, then drop a little oil on it and spread it over the surface of the bottom using a silicone brush or a crust of bread, then the pancakes will not stick. It is ideal to fry in a special frying pan with grooves. Then they all turn out smooth and the same size.
- Using a small ladle, scoop up the dough and pour it into a hot frying pan. I use a ladle from a multicooker for this, but I don’t fill it completely. The diameter of the cake should not exceed 14 cm. If you want to get small pancakes, pour with a regular tablespoon.

By amount of calcium oat milk ranks first among similar plant products. You can’t buy oat milk everywhere, but it’s very easy to prepare it at home, which is what we’ll do now.
Required:
For milk:
- 1 liter of chilled boiled water
- 150 g oat flakes "Hercules"
For pancakes:
- 250 ml oat milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. spoons of sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil
How we will cook:
- Preparing oat milk. Soak for 2 hours cereals in one liter of water.
- Place the cereal with milk in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Strain through several layers of gauze. The result was a whole liter of tasty, healthy milk.
- Beat the egg with sugar and salt, add milk and vegetable oil.
- Add the sifted flour mixed with baking powder and mix until it becomes a lump.
- Heat a frying pan with a thick bottom, lay out the pancakes, and level them.
- Fry until bubbles appear, then turn over.

- 300 ml milk
- 60 g butter
- 240 g flour
- a pinch of salt

Traditionally, on weekends we cook pancakes for breakfast. And sometimes we indulge in pancakes. These American pancakes are no less tasty than our Russian pancakes; they are prepared very quickly and simply. Perfect option for a lazy and delicious breakfast.
I tried different recipes, but most of all I like this one
For 10 pancakes you need:
- 250 ml milk
- 3 tbsp. spoons of vegetable or 40 gr. melted butter, it should be cooled or slightly warm, but not hot (on weekend mornings I’m too lazy to melt the butter, so I most often cook with vegetable oil)
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp. Sahara
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 170 g flour
As a topping, you can use what you like best, sour cream, jam, honey, etc.
Since it turned out that even such a simple recipe may not work, here are a few reasons why this could happen:
1) Products must be fresh. The baking powder may fail if it is old.
2) You need to mix exactly until the wet and dry ingredients come together, and that’s it. If you overdo it and the flour starts to develop gluten, you'll end up with rubbery pancakes rather than fluffy pancakes.
3) Pancake dough does not tolerate waiting - neither a night nor even an hour will do it any good. Let's return to point one - the baking powder will begin to react as soon as it comes into contact with a moist environment. The longer you wait after this, the less energy it will have to keep the dough fluffy and light.
4) American pancakes have a soft, even crust that doesn’t need to be crispy. It is best to cook pancakes in a dry frying pan.
Mix milk, eggs, butter and sugar in a bowl. You don’t have to take out a mixer; you can easily beat everything with a whisk or fork; at worst, it also works out well.
Mix flour, salt and baking powder, sift into milk-egg mixture. Stir well to obtain a homogeneous mass without lumps.
Heat the frying pan, there is no need to grease it with anything, it must be dry. For 1 pancake you need 2 tbsp. dough, so quickly pour them into the pan and wait for bubbles to start appearing. As soon as this happens, turn the pancake over. Important: you don’t need to wait for the entire surface of the pancake to be covered with bubbles, as soon as they start to appear, turn them over.
On the other side it bakes even faster.
Honestly, while the pancakes are baking, the kettle is heating up and the tea is brewing, so we eat hot and delicious pancakes with our hot morning tea :)
