Chicken wings in tomato sauce are an excellent dish for an outdoor picnic or a homemade dinner. They cook quickly on the grill or in the oven, ideally combined with a potato side dish or a salad of fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. However, the wings are good on their own!
IngredientsWings recipe in tomato sauce
For convenience, cut the wings in half. Chop the garlic. Mix tomato paste with ketchup and mustard, add honey and garlic, balsamic vinegar and lemon juice. Mix. Add salt and ground pepper to taste. For those who like something spicy, chili pepper and a couple of drops of Tabasco sauce are suitable.
Marinate the wings in this mixture for 2 hours at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 200º. Cover a baking sheet with food foil, lay out the wings, generously greased with marinade. Bake for 15 minutes. Then take out the baking sheet, turn the wings over and bake for another 15 minutes. Delight your family with delicious wings in tomato-honey sauce! If you don't want to wait two hours for the wings to marinate, you can make them faster. To do this, mix the marinade according to the previous recipe. The wings need to be cut in half and fried on both sides in a frying pan for 2-3 minutes. Then roll well in the marinade on both sides.
Place on a baking sheet lined with food foil and bake in an oven preheated to 200º for 10 minutes. If you want your wings to be soft and juicy, cover them with a piece of foil when you put them in the oven.
Usually the wings are left to marinate for several hours before baking. But if time is limited, then instead of the long marinating procedure, you can use stewing.
Wings in tomato glaze have a beautiful reddish color and a pleasant sour taste. The aroma of the wings is richly garlicky. Since garlic is subjected to only short-term heating, its smell remains almost unchanged, remaining fresh and natural.

- flour - 1.5 tbsp. l.;
- starch - 1 tbsp. l. (a little incomplete);
- spices for chicken - 1 tbsp. l.;
- salt;

I buy fresh chilled chicken wings. Sometimes feathers or hairs remain on the skin here and there. That’s why I always bring them home and immediately tar them over the fire. After treatment with fire, I wash it thoroughly.
I dry it with paper napkins.
Now I cut the chicken wings at the joints. There is no meat at the very tip of the wing. Therefore, after cutting it into three parts, I leave two large parts for preparing the appetizer, and discard the third small part of the wing.
I place the poultry pieces in a deep bowl. I sprinkle them with seasoning. Mix thoroughly, rubbing the spices into the chicken wings.
I mix starch with flour according to the recipe.
I roll the wings in this mixture of flour and starch.
Having shaken off the excess mixture, I put the chicken in a bowl for half an hour.
Now I start frying the bird in a frying pan. I pour refined sunflower oil into a frying pan and heat it up. I put the wings here and fry them over medium heat.
I fry the bottom side in a frying pan first, and then turn it over to fry the other side.
I remove the browned and crispy meat from the pan, transferring it to a plate with paper napkins. The napkins instantly absorb excess fat, and we get tasty and crispy wings without excess fat on them.
I serve this delicious appetizer with my favorite tomato sauce.

- Salt - 1 teaspoon with a small slide.
- Lemon juice - 3-4 tablespoons.

- Potato starch - 2 tablespoons.
- Vegetable oil - 1-1.5 liters.
Sear the chicken wings, rinse and dry. Cut the chicken wings at the joints, remove the smallest part, we won’t need it. I freeze them and then make chicken broth from them, the broth turns out very tasty.
We prepare all the spices for the marinade; they must be thoroughly mixed. Take the spices to your taste, you can remove something, add something, I forgot to add dry garlic, so experiment.
Place the chicken wings in a bowl, sprinkle with spices, mix thoroughly so that all the spices are evenly distributed over all the wings. Squeeze lemon juice and pour over the wings, mix everything thoroughly again. Cover the bowl with a bag or film and put it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours; I marinated the wings for 4 hours.
We will need egg whites, if the eggs are large, then two whites are enough, I took three whites. Lightly beat the whites with a whisk, add starch and beat thoroughly again until the mixture is lump-free.
Pour the mixture of proteins and starch into a bowl with chicken wings, stir.
Pour odorless vegetable oil into a deep frying pan or saucepan with a thick bottom and heat it well. Transfer chicken wings to deep fryer. I placed the pan on the middle burner and set the heat to the lowest setting, since the chicken wings need to be well cooked not only on the outside, but also on the inside. Fry the chicken wings for about 10 minutes each batch, turning occasionally.
Transfer crispy chicken wings to a paper towel to remove grease. Serve crispy-skinned chicken wings with any sauce. Men can be served a bottle of cold beer.

I think chicken wings are made to be cooked this way. I have never tasted more delicious wings. I know that there are options when the wings are first marinated in tomato sauce and then baked in the oven, but it still doesn’t turn out as tasty. When ready-made chicken wings in tomato sauce are rolled in a frying pan and finished in a delicate sweet and sour sauce, it turns out divinely delicious! My husband loves these wings as a beer snack and always asks me to make them when his friends come over. And even though I don’t drink at all, I can eat a whole kilogram of these wings, especially with a good movie, but that’s a completely different story. Be sure to learn how to cook the most delicious.
Ingredients:
- chicken wings – 500 gr.;
- flour – 3 tbsp. spoons;
- salt – ½ teaspoon;
- ketchup – 3 tbsp. spoons;
- sugar – 1 tbsp. spoon;
- soy sauce – 1-2 tbsp. spoons;
- butter – 30 gr.;
- allspice - to taste.
How to cook with photos step by step
1. Rinse the chicken wings and be sure to dry them well either with paper towels, or simply place them on paper towels and leave until they dry on their own. Cut the wings in half, it will be easier to cook and eat.
2. Mix flour with salt, place this mixture in a deep bowl with wings.
3. Stir until all wings are coated with flour on all sides in a fairly thick layer.
4. Place the wings on parchment or foil and place in the oven for about 20-30 minutes (oven temperature 180 degrees). Since different ovens bake differently, keep an eye on the doneness of the wings. As soon as they become slightly brown, remove them from the oven. In general, the wings cook quite quickly, since there is not a lot of meat on the bone.
5. While the wings are cooking, prepare the sauce. To do this, melt 30 g of butter. You can, of course, use vegetable oil, but I like cream sauce better.
6. Add ketchup, soy sauce, sugar, allspice to the pan, I also add a little water, literally 100 ml. Do not add salt, because soy sauce is already salty.
Simmer the sauce uncovered over low heat until the consistency becomes similar to ketchup again or even a little thicker. The color of the sauce will become slightly darker than ketchup.
7. Place the finished wings in the prepared sauce, stir and keep on low heat for another minute
This is necessary so that the wings are better saturated with tomato sauce. These ones turn out no less tasty
